The Tolmin Gorges

As you walk through, you can admire their extremely primitive and wild appearance, before reaching the spring of thermal water. The signs along the path provide information about the flora in the Tolmin gorges and the Soča trout. In the part of the Zadlaščica canyon called Skakalce, where the water flows from one pool into another, there is a triangle-shaped rock, which got the name of Bear’s Head due to its form. The path leads us also to the entrance to the cave of Zadlaška jama (Dante’s Cave), which can only be visited with an expert guide, and the Devil's Bridge, offering a breathtaking and indeed memorable view of the 60-meter deep Tolmin Gorges. The bridge was built more than one hundred years ago.
